The HPS board has asked the Chief of Police to find cost savings of $1.25 million in the 2026 HPS budget. Direction was provided by Cllr Spadafora. When some of us asked for cost savings in police budgets & all city budgets in 2022, they vilified us.

During the 2022 municipal campaign I spoke about strategies & actions to reduce budgets for all city depts including Hamilton Police Service. I was called a criminal, among other messed up word. Now the person that called me a criminal is saying the same thing I said.
