Carol Burnett was such a huge part of my childhood! She and Mr. Bean taught me more about humor than TGIF ever did.

How To Explain Book Bans to Those Who Want to Understand: Book Censorship News, November 29, 2024 Use these talking points to help explain book bans to people who haven't kept up but want to understand.

How to explain book bans to those who *actually* want to understand what's going on.

Conveniently, I decided to rerun one of this year's most popular book censorship posts this week and it seems like I need to just rerun this every week.

There are a lot of opinions on sickness as someone with #GravesDisease. Supposedly, Methimazole is an immunosuppressent. I caught a head cold that everyone in Nebraska seems to have, but it is taking me out of commission. Any other Graves folks care to share your experiences of sickness and Graves?

They have shares on their BlueSky page if it is the same person.

A mysterious, shadowy figure with a hood partially obscuring their face. They hold a finger to their lips in a 'shushing' gesture. The words 'Forbidden History' appear in stylized golden text below the figure, evoking a sense of secrecy and intrigue.

The Forbidden History podcast is my new obsession. History told without assigning value or morality. Just the facts but very in-depth and entertaining. My jaw has dropped so many times since listening to my first episode last night.

Anyone surprised? What is being done to stop this and keep women safe?

Joining Bluesky was totally worth it, even if it was just for the sheer amount of cool space pics. 🀩🀩

Black text on a white background reads "I will no longer be referring to my chronic illness as such. Instead I will only refer to it as an unbreakable ancestral curse."

My #Graves brothers and sisters, an unbreakable ancestral curse describes it so well! It is genetic, so there is the ancestral. It is for life, hence unbreakable. I have to take daily meds to fend off the curse. What other hero's journey metaphors work? Do we have quests?

That is on the rise! Covid turns the key for some, I suppose. Oddly enough, not the vaccine though.

Book cover: black with gold lettering and a gold outline of an owl. Book title: psychic witch. Author: Mat Auryn

Really enjoying this book. Not because I believe I am psychic but because it has fantastic grounding and protection information! Halfway done. πŸ’œ

Throwing this back out for your perusal. Nebraska school librarians tell it like it is.

Great question! I use Palo Santo to cleanse inside, and black salt to draw a line of protection around the outside of the house, reinforcing with moon water at doors and windows. What can I do to strengthen that practice?

Orange and yellow leaves on a tree branch extend into a blue sky with wispy clouds.

One gift I am giving to myself is indulgence in small things. I live in the middle of the U.S. It is chilly out.

But I liked the color of the sky against my tree's changing leaves and let myself snap a photo. So simple.

Give yourself the little stuff. Your heart needs it.

One of the reasons my Graves Disease took so long to diagnose is because the symptoms are very similar to perimenopause. Once my heart was running marathons while I was resting, I realized something was wrong. I was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago. If you also have Graves, I would love to follow you!

I also have Graves. I didn't know the blue butterfly was our symbol. I love it
