you also burn spirit money for the dead so they would have money to spend .

there's probably more but you'll always have an disapproving aunt/uncle that will tell you what you're doing wrong.

2/4 Buddhist- don't touch the body too much because the spirit will not reincarnate because they want to stay

Wear a special white fabric for the funeral if you are family to them
light incense for 3 days. (see mulan movie)
for the next 49 days you grieved with a Buddhist service once a week.

1/4 outdated viet village rite

cats -bad luck with dead. esp 3 color. they reanimate the body by jumping over. So people shoo cats away when funerals was held at home

probably a cat jump over a body and rigor mortis didn't set in yet so the body moved as if it was trying to catch the cat.
