New paper alert! 🚨
We found that the brain's compass is remarkably stable at two scales
1️⃣ the system maintains its internal organization for weeks
2️⃣ It "remembers" its orientation for weeks, even after a single visit
This may be key to how the brain aligns its other maps.

congratulations keri!! wonderful news
this is an absolutely fantastic review at the interface of emerging biological principles, neuronal/network computation, and statistical physics (among other disciplines). huge congrats to @rgast.bsky.social and co-authors for this great cross-disciplinary synthesis for the field
With many new neurotechnologies, only about five percent of experiments yield significant results.
excited to have you make it official!! happy holidays milan
congrats matt!!
Scientific program chairs @rcbagot.bsky.social and @markcembrowski.bsky.social have put together a great program: can-acn.org/meeting-2026... - Now is your chance to contribute also!
Share your research at the next Canadian Neuroscience Meeting May 18-21, 2026 in Montreal!

Excited to share the latest from the lab on the molecular mechanisms of silencing and un-silencing a hippocampal engram ensemble. Was fun using a variant of the EPSILON technique developed by Adam Cohen's lab.

incredible visit from @cannabrain.bsky.social here at @dmcbrainhealth.bsky.social - super intriguing findings on the BLA and stress. also apparently he has great taste in both shirts and drinks
Join Riya from @markcembrowski.bsky.social's lab for a look at a day in the life of a @sbmeubc.bsky.social Synergy Research Program student!
This summer, she studied the hippocampal-amygdaloid transition area (HATA), a brain region that may play a role in major depressive disorder.
garbage can placement checks out
Excited to share this huge team effort collaboration supervised by Stephanie Page in Translational Neuroscience @lieberinstitute.bsky.social and @stephaniehicks.bsky.social @jhubiostat.bsky.social to generate a spatio-molecular resource of the hippocampus in human 🧠
