That podcast gave popularity to Andre Tate when no one knew who he was and not-so unwittingly made him into the guy that chronically unfucked teenagers look up to now.

Divinity Original Sin 2 was a fantastic game. A new entry in the Divinity series would go so hard right now.

They did file a trademark for "Fearless Fox" a couple of years back. I wonder whether we'll see that one release before Trump's fifth mandate.

The Steam Controller comes with anti-drift magnetic thumbsticks. Whichever third party comes up first with a dongle to make it work with PS5 will make millions.

It's unlikely, but I do wonder whether the 8GB of VRAM are meant to be an attempt at keeping the final price at a maximum of 499 dollars (for the base version).

13.11.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If the base model of this thing, with no controller and small storage size, is priced at 449 dollars, people will rush to buy it, because, similarly to what happend with Steam Deck, the value would be incredible.

13.11.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Most of these people will be salivating for a better (but still cheap) way to play their Steam library from their couch.

13.11.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

8GB of VRAM might look paltry to the people that are used to play on console but there are a few millions people out there that don't have 1,5k to spend on a proper PC and that are tired of playing at a zoomed-in 720p when they connect their Steam Deck to their television.

13.11.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Given how little money people can save nowadays, there's a chance that a substantial section of the market might welcome enthusiastically a pc with that form factor.

13.11.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Ultimately, Steam wants people to get attached to their ecosystem and have them buy more Steam games, cause that's where the real money is.

13.11.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Microsoft will release their new console with a similar concept and ASUS will rush to release mini-pcs that ape Steam Machines just like they jumped on the wagon as soon as they saw Steam Deck sell a few million units.

This way Valve can also price their cube aggressively, maybe even sell it at a bit of a loss, like they did with the Steam Deck, and occupy preemptively a portion of the market that will soon become increasingly busy.

13.11.2025 14:57 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I'm seeing lots of people wondering which audience the Steam Machines are going for, exactly. The amount of people that are perfectly fine with playing in 1080p worldwide is surprisingly staggering and this kind of hardware wants to tap into that.

When a GameCube and an Xbox Series X love each other very very much... We need someone to tell us whether the vent fumes smell as good as the Steam Deck's.

The Mass Effect team will probably be the first to be targeted by layoffs. I wonder whether EA will be willing to sell the IP to someone else when they'll inevitably switch focus to sportwash Saudi politics via increasingly AI-enshittified versions of EA's sportsball games.

The difference between HK and Silksong is that when I see a random HK youtube video, I immediately think about replaying it. Because I know it will respect my time, it will not be bloated by side quests and collectathons. Silksong, I'm not even done with it and I know already I'll never replay it.

Team Cherry needed less secrecy and more testers with the balls to tell them "Are you absolutely sure about this?".

14.09.2025 13:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Silksong has the same problem as RDR2, The Last of Us 2 and many others game that took 7 years to make: their design is physiologically outdated by the time they finally decide to release. The runbacks, the gauntlets, the currency scarcity, none of it is fun. No one wants those in games anymore

BREAKING: Xbox is canceling Contraband, announced in 2021 from Avalanche Studios (Just Cause), after four years of radio silence, sources tell Bloomberg News. This news arrives weeks after a mass layoff in which Xbox canceled several other big titles.

New Superbunnyhop video is quite a touching piece, hitting quite close to home and covering games that hit *very* close to home. Recommended.

Everything in that trailer looks slick, clean, shiny. It is basically a Hitman game with some Bond lore pushed into it. I'm not sure it will grab the attention of anybody except Hitman fans.

08.06.2025 06:40 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

The new bond game's sales are going to be disappointing. They decided to go with a young version of Bond with the obvious intent of drawing in a younger audience, but I don't think they realize how little Gen-Zers and Gen Alpha-ers care about Bond. And the Whedonian quips will alienate older gamers.
