Here at Lake Tahoe we constantly talk about water clarity and microplastics. Yet any study on Vehicle Miles Travelled fails to even consider tire wear, even though we now have one of the highest concentrations of microplastics in Alpine lakes. We desperately need well-funded public transportation.

It used to be when Presidents saw something so grand that the American people would collectively benefit from it for generations to come, they would protect it.
