I keep posting this but I feel like I've done a good job to portray Leda as intimidating and a veiled threat while also keeping in how Rahylia sees her as her companion

Spending my resources where they matter

I'm doing the dialogue after the drawings for one reason. There's a lot of visual storytelling I feel you lose as a writer if you focus too much on what the characters are saying. The reader needs to first take in on what they are seeing and then be contextualized by the dialogue.

So far is coming out just like I wanted which is crazy.

Using undertones to do lighting is super fun actually. I was afraid they'll look tacky bc of previous experiences but no they look great. Even better than using a plain brush for this imo.

I'm using a lot of what I learned with my painting-only illustrations than I expected. Inking for a manga is much MUCH different than doing Linework for an illustration, at least on my part.
