I was thinking about something lately.

Do I even have an "artstyle" if most of my works are made to imagine the look of certain games on a weaker hardware? Am I even an artist if all my major works are based on works of others and not really original?

Aquatic Ruin Zone for Sega Master System

Two days of non-stop cursing at myself for being unable to draw nature and it's finally done! I hope it turned out well. It took 10 colors and 2 different palettes (for dry and underwater areas)

After 9 iterations, I finally have to stop nitpicking my work...

I decided to try learning lighting, i.e. I just slapped random colors around until they looked serviceable. I'm relatively fine with the result, despite what my perfectionism telling me otherwise :D

It was pure agony but I wanted to do some justice for one of the hidden 16-bit gems: Phantom 2040
