I’ll just be over here doing my silly little hobbies.

Important question: Should color my hair pastel now, after the wedding, or never?

We want to move to Minneapolis/St. Paul, but the thought of leaving our support system makes me unbearably sad. And, who wants to be first time parents with no local support system? And also, I’m going to have a high risk pregnancy no matter what. What if something goes wrong? Screams in American.

My wife and I are trying to decide whether or not we’re going to remain living in Indiana where our strongest support system is but where we’re #3 highest in maternal mortality rate, and where we can’t both automatically be parents to our child. Living here is a nightmare for same-sex couples.

My wife and I are learning how to make pottery. Last night we took a wheel class. Twas touch and go for a while but we made it out with what passes for bowls. Lesbians who throw clay together and all that.

In this day and age, living in a place that
- you like,
- you can afford,
- you can find a job,
- you have family/friends,
- you feel safe, and
- you *are* safe from natural disasters/bad laws/worse

is luxury and privilege. Almost no one gets to check all the boxes.

So maybe don’t be an asshole.
