That’s how I started almost 3 years ago, and I’ve been building on it ever since!

2. Showed up consistently.
I wasn’t fancy. I filmed 5–7 sec clips, slapped text on them, & posted daily. Algorithms love momentum & so do readers.
3. Built my email list early.
Social media is the funnel. An email list makes sure excitement doesn’t disappear when the algorithm does.

1. Got clear on my hook.
Not “here’s my book.” Instead: “Gilmore Girls meets Practical Magic.” Instant emotional resonance. Readers need a reason to care before they know the plot.
