Oman Day 13. Last day in Oman.
We spent the day in the mountains before visiting the famous Muttrah Souq in Muscat.

Oman Day 12. After birding some of the greener areas in the desert, we continued our journey north towards Muscat.

Oman Day 11. Started the long drive back north, stopping off overnight at Maqshin Oasis.

Oman Day 10. Today, we went on a pelagic from Mirbat.

Oman Day 9. We visited Wadi Darbat and then continued on to Jabal Samhan.

Oman Day 8. Dramatic and deserted coastlines of Dhofar.

Oman Day 7 First day in the Dhofar Mountains. A distinctly more African feel to the landscape and birds.

Oman Day 6 Early morning birding in the desert before heading south to the coast at Salalah.

Oman Day 5 We continue our journey south, driving for several hours across endless desert before reaching our overnight camping spot at the remote Muntasar Oasis.

Oman Day 4.
Today, we drove east from Nizwa out to the coast at Filim. A large estuary with thousands of waders.

Oman Day 3. Travelled into Al Hajar Mountains again, but this time up on the Sayq Plateau where we visited the abandoned village at Wadi Bani Habib. We then travelled on to the historic town of Nizwa.

Day 2 We visited the Al Hajar Mountains and the hilltop village of Wakan.

Just back from holiday in Oman.
