The event also marked the launch of '60 Years in Galway', a new historical publication tracing the organisation’s journey from a volunteer-led Meals on Wheels initiative in 1965 to a social service supporting more than 3,000 people annually across homeless, domestic abuse & senior support services.

Jennifer Poole was murdered by her ex-partner Gavin Murphy in 2021. Gavin Murphy had abused before.
