Yup. But I'm just assuming the ban happens anyway. Yet if one cares about safety, it should be an easy commitment to make.

It should be easy to commit to collecting speed data for one year following the ban, compare with historicals, and remove the ban if speeds were found to have increased. Also, keep track of lost revenue.

A pilot ban, if you will.
