Their reaction was that it was an interesting project but a lot of work and not one they were keen to repeat. I suspect it's the same with the studio.

My friend's experience was similar - all of the real work involved was in trying to get something reasonably coherent and consistent out of what was generated. You were effectively creating elements then trying to stitch it all together.

I've spoken with someone who made something similar recently and I don't think the studio are wrong in their description. Think of it closer to a digitally composite animation patched together from an unreliable generator.
