Just finished mastering every Sesame Street game on RetroAchievements, because why the hell not?

I'm coming out of my shell to give this brief statement: If you can't get a hold of Kitasan Black, go for Sakura Bakushin O. She's about as equal ̷(̷A̷ ̷b̷i̷t̷ ̷s̷t̷r̷o̷n̷g̷e̷r̷ ̷a̷c̷t̷u̷a̷l̷l̷y̷)̷ in power as Kitasan Black. Thank you for your time.

I found this small snippet of DDR in one of my old game design books from college (sometime between 2004 and 2005). I've been addicted to this amusing diversion for over 20 years!
I'm always online, but that's because nobody will talk to me regardless of my status 🙃
Man, it's been 23 days since I last posted. Here's what I've been up to. Completing every Beatmania game on RetroAchievements (so far).

I was only 3 when I first started picking up the controller, and the limited AI wasn't a bother for me either. We didn't have any sports games outside maybe some racing games. We mostly had arcade ports such as Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Jungle Hunt, Jr. Pac-Man, and a few others.
I was born just before the NES was released. My parents already had a 2600, Intellivision and VIC-20 which I played with in the meantime. I haven't played on anything older, but wouldn't be afraid to try them out at a retro convention or event sometime!
Everyone knows the NES, and a few less know of the Atari 2600. Then there's me who is aware of the oddities like the Magnavox Odyssey, MSX, Amiga, C64, and The Vectrex!
And little did they know 25 years later, the game would appear on a Nintendo console!
Now play it again!
I miss the days when normies were not on the internet.
When I saw this for the first time it made me so mad they didn't turn the whole game into an HD-2D remaster. All the other games were fine, but FFVI should've been the conclusive modern remaster that nobody expected.
I went with the 8BitDo Pro 2 to give me an actual Switch controller that doesn't drift, but I might consider getting the SN30 Pro for the retro gaming.
I can already see the story: You "purposefully" stomped on a little kids foot, breaking all their toes! Karen's going to assume that you will take responsibility and paying all of her child's medical bills as they will no longer be able to walk thanks to your unprovoked aggressiveness! 😠
Too bad the game is shut down. I really enjoyed playing it. 😭
It is very possible, I assure you. But emulation in rhythm games is not 100% accurate. You can't afford hardly any frame delay when it comes to full comboing songs. The PS1 games especially are brutal with the already tight windows. That's why it's safer just to use controller. 😅
A Dualshock 3 🤣
After a grueling grind for the final achievement in Oha Suta, I have officially Hardcore Mastered every DDR on the PS1.

Hopefully, they will make more use of it than they did with the IR camera/sensor.
GBA ports of SNES games were both made easier but also expanded upon with extra features not found in their original versions.
Hey now, I'm still waiting on Super Mario 128. Don't be dragging in Mario Kart 128 just yet!
So make one yourself?
I'm almost sure it's games like Ring Fit Adventure which require additional peripherals to be used that won't be compatible with Switch 2 joycons.
It'll probably release April 2nd and blow up the entire community in excitement.
Mind you, I'm not doubting a new console will be revealed on that date. I just highly doubt it's called the "Switch 2" and looks nothing more than a souped up Switch (and some casual new Mario Kart announcement?). Sure I could be wrong, but if I know Nintendo, they're really good at hiding things...
So hear me out for a second...Nintendo Switch 2 trailer is out, and it's basically everything we've heard about it on social media. The most interesting bit is the Direct on April 2nd...
April 2nd is after April Fools...
Could Nintendo be fking with us right now and we saw a false made-up trailer?
It might be a DDR thing. It uses those buttons for controller, which should pretty much correspond to the notes of guitar hero with the exception of one extra note. Pump It Up uses all triggers on that game, with X being used as the center note.
You can't just use face buttons/d-pad and a trigger?
But how hard could it be?
