Ridge Racer 64 was the first one I played, but that one was entirely developed by nintendo and not as good as the other ones imo.

I was rlly excited for Sony acquiring Bluepoint because I thought having a dedicated dev with experience in remastering and (mostly) faithfully remaking old games would be a huge boon in their library of legacy IP. LMFAO they have not put out a SINGLE new game, remake, remaster, or otherwise since.

I genuinely think R4 might be tied for my fav racing game of all time w F-Zero GX lol. The more I play it, the more it really just feels like a work of art on pretty much every aspect ESPECIALLY the visuals and music. I wish mainstream racing games remembered how important presentation and style is.

Wait I actually love his design in this! I feel like his design in Smash and in Fortnite and other misc media leaned a bit too hard on the goatee which made him look more like Big Boss to me. Here, he looks exactly like he did in MGS2!

Just started Ridge Racer 2 on the PSP

I think the most irritating thing abt Nintendo fans to me is whenever a game is announced without a Switch version (particularly JRPGs), many of them get smug and act as if the game is destined to fail. Like there haven't been popular games released outside of that console.

My only major gripe w God of War Sons of Sparta so far is that young Kratos is voiced by the same voice actor for Pit from Kid Icarus Uprising and that is all I can hear anytime he speaks.

4) R4: Ridge Racer Type 4
-This is the farthest I've been in this series and it's SO good! The music is FANTASTIC and the graphics are IMMACULATE. I LOVE the little red light trail behind every car, it makes catching up SO satisfying. Some of the final races were hard as butt! I wanted to vomit!

Low key crazy that Metroid and Vania are back. Imo, still the two best to ever do it.

I also don't know how ppl can seriously argue that Santa Monica resents the rageful and violent Kratos of the past when imo they have retroactively only made him that much more complex of a character.

I remember during the course of the Norse God of War saga, there was that fear that they were building up to eventually replacing Kratos as the primary protagonist of the series and then after Ragnarok they released free DLC w an actual story and you realize they're only getting started.

Definitely prefer original for MGS1, but playing the game now on high res, there is something so charming abt seeing these assets in their entirety without PS1 crunch obscuring some of the graphical limitations.

I cried tears of joy when I saw that *opens Google in another tab* Ben Quadinaros is back. Hes been one of my all time favorite Star Wars characters.

It genuinely feels so good to feel positive abt games rn! So much to play now and even more to look forward to! It always feels good to have new game announcements end up on your radar!

Not only is Dead Cells like in my top 3 for fav Roguelikes, but the Castlevania DLC specifically BLEW MY MIND when it came out! We are seriously in good hands these devs have so much reverence for the IP.

I'm glad he was given the reign to do his own unique projects! I think abt another world where Ubi let him spearhead the Rayman franchise, but at least he's doing his own thing!

Rayman 30th anniversary looks awesome! I only ever played a virtual console version of the game on 3DS and it was awful! Glad to finally be able to experience better versions! And seemingly that awful version again too lol.

Them announcing a remake of the entire GoW Trilogy makes me think (hope) these are mostly visual overhauls ala Bluepoint Remakes w added QOL and accessibility vs them totally overhauling the games to be closer to the newer games. Just doesn't seem feasible otherwise lol.
