This Black History Month, we thank you, Amy Sherald, for your courage, bravery, and unwavering support for the LGBTQ community in this historic win for equality.
When the Smithsonian considered removing Amy Sherald's painting of a transgender Statue of Liberty after Trump issued an anti-trans mandate for federally funded museums, Sherald moved her show “American Sublime” to the Baltimore Museum of Art. This week, the show reached new heights. A screenshot of Hyperallergic article titled Amy Sherald’s Show Sets Visitor Record at Baltimore Museum of Art.
