25.04.2025 06:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What the unionist media thinks will be of limited concern once Scotland has made its decision to leave the U.K. and the rU.K. also has an international banking reputation to uphold. We have currencies being set up in a matter of months eg Estonia. The transition period isn't fixed like for Brexit
25.04.2025 06:36 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0That's why planning prior to the democratic event is essential. Things like payment systems can be pretty much off the shelf and the intention is to grandfather the majority of regulations, subject to change later. The banks will be informed in good time, they are simply including another currency
25.04.2025 06:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The SCG has already explored this with other European Central banks and has detailed documentation regarding being compliant/compatible. The good thing is these protocols are standardised. Payment systems similarly so

Scotonomics will be discussing this analysis of spending and taxation in the U.K. which literally turns everything you thought you knew about public spending on its head. Vital information for an Indy Scotland. Watch the show & post questions. Document in comments

Ronald MacDonald muddying the waters, nobody is saying we will use Sterling long term after the transition period.
Independence parties agree we need our own currency so this is the ground on which any comments on Scottish independence should now be being made.

Is the UK Government only for England? The abandonment of Grangemouth, in comparison to saving an English steel plant would suggest it. Look behind Stephen Flynn at the sneering & contemptuous Reform UK MPs, they don't represent Scottish interests. Vote independence in '26

It takes an English man, a good one at that, to spell out the reality not enough Scots see. Scotland is an economic colony Westminster won't let go of, we have huge resources oil (McCrone 70s) gas, hydrogen, wind, land, sea etc. Come on Scotland, wake up to independence.

In the U.K. under the devolution settlement, with a fixed budget, Scotland can't outperform underlying economic conditions set in Westminster. We can't address or mitigate our issues without full powers and our own currency. We need to be making the economic decisions which benefit all of our people

I do sympathise that the only choice for the English is apparently right and far right. It was this realisation years ago which led me to Scottish independence as the only chance of escape from this calculation. The Neoliberals have done this
