Thanks for that. Most charity shops have some but they're quite limited.
There's a specialist in Grasmere that has literally hundreds of jigsaws. I just don't know of any similar option in Scotland.
Okay I admit it - I'm old and boring and I like doing jigsaws. I also have a dislike of buying jigsaws (well most things) online. How come I can't seem to find a decent stockist of jigsaws in Scotland? Garden centres and the likes usually have a small selection but nothing very large.
Help!
But you appear to trust the British Press.
28.01.2026 16:59 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I must have been asleep during it's better spell. What time was that?
26.01.2026 16:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0So I gather but does that preclude the sensible option of the game being played somewhere in Scotland?
26.01.2026 14:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Polanski may have, but as I understand things the Greens are not run "top down". What's the grass roots opinion?
26.01.2026 14:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Even if it's an Ivorean home game, surely the two authorities involved could have arranged the fixture at a Scottish venue? The travel cost difference would be minimal.
26.01.2026 14:14 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Good question. I'm presuming that the SFA have some mega buck deal to justify this nonsensical decision.
26.01.2026 14:08 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You should be fine here then.๐
26.01.2026 14:05 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If being rained on regularly at almost any time of the year is your thing, then welcome to Scotland, you will indeed find our weather amazing.
26.01.2026 13:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Unless the game is being played in Liverpool at the request of Cote d'Ivoire I can only assume that the SFA are raking in mega bucks for TV rights to this game. Strange way to treat home based Scots fans who give their support through thick and thin.
26.01.2026 13:40 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I keep seeing comments on this issue but I've yet to see any of these accounts named.
23.01.2026 08:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I most certainly don't believe that Andrew but whether you acknowledge it or your thought process still exists in that time frame.
Scotland is a country, pre-existing the United Kingdom and at some point in the near future you are going to have to adjust to that idea.
Scotland isn't a territory, Andrew, it is a country. Get your mindset out of the days of the British Empire.
22.01.2026 15:31 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 3 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 1Well on the obvious point that irrespective of which issue is being decided, if the English majority want something their voting numbers will always count.
22.01.2026 15:27 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Well Scots certainly are, Andrew, and that is largely down to the undemocratic way in which the will of the English electorate was imposed on us.
22.01.2026 15:04 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The issue of whether the original state split as a result of war or political democracy is irrelevant to the point in question, as I'm pretty sure that you know yourself.
What is in question is the rights of individuals after the break up.
No, it doesn't. Any individual who fulfills the criteria for any particular job will be able to apply for it, just as before. They will simply have certain other criteria to fulfill. What those will be depends upon agreements to be made between the respective governments. Nothing unusual about that.
22.01.2026 14:52 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0What "rights" do you currently presume to have in Scotland or with regards to Scottish matters. Andrew?
22.01.2026 09:32 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You would most likely have the right to dual citizenship due to your place of birth.
22.01.2026 08:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0That just isn't going to happen, Andrew. Holding a passport of a country, any country, has too many possible implications just to allow any and all access to that right.
22.01.2026 08:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not at my suggestion.
22.01.2026 08:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You seem to think that the very fact that you were born somewhere within the UK should give you automatic right to a passport of your choice in any one of the UK constituent countries. Can you tell me of any previous break up where that principle applied? Maybe Yugoslavia, for instance?
21.01.2026 17:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 2"Circumstances, dear chap, circumstances" - I'm sure that I've heard that phrase used in a political context previously.
21.01.2026 17:29 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So you don't agree that there is a value in being part of the EU once again on the verge of NATO breaking up and the US no longer being seen as a trustworthy ally?
21.01.2026 11:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0What exclusion? There will undoubtedly be reciprocal travel agreements, but there is no reason why any current UK passport holder should have the option of holding multiple passports for each of the current members of the UK. Nor should anyone simply be able to pick their nationality of convenience.
21.01.2026 09:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0People will, as is standard, get their passport and citizenship detetmined by their country of birth and/or their period of residency in which they abide.
20.01.2026 17:11 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Even retrospectively thats a lot of very wishful thinking.
16.01.2026 13:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Not a chance. I wouldn't trust Reform to run a Brewery trip let alone a country and specifically not Scotland.
