Manifest Destiny is a sucker's game. Infrastructure, transportation, and even military spending bids would all look wildly different if North America was reshaped with citizens essentially voting by region where their "federal" taxes and tariffs went. I'll stop there and defer to smarter ppl.

If running the USA "like a business" is such a good idea, methinks shareholder revolt is in order. Which states aren't producing or contributing? Which regions can offer better paths to immigration and growing their economies? Who can broker import/export deals from their ports and borders?
