I often use AI to write a draft and then take the parts that I like. You don't need it to be all AI, but it can get you past the writer's block.
This seems like a "rising tides lifts all boats" kind of thing. Good approaches and techniques help everyone, not just those for whom we are seeking an "intervention" (for lack of better phrasing at 6am)
I would say "In the absence of output we don't know what students can give as output."
It took a long time to get comfortable with it. Fortunately there is SO MUCH I don't know, I definitely have gotten used to it! 😂 And I do see it as a good thing.

This sounds fun! Sadly I am borderline Amish and live under a rock when it comes to knowing anything current to suggest.
It saves me time, yes. But 13 hours/week? I don't think I put in an amount of time on anything AI could do where there are 13 hours to be saved.
