Tell me you are 6 weeks out from thesis submission without telling me you’re 6 weeks out from submission - I’ve been awake for 20+ hours and I think I’ve just edited the same paragraph four times… yet it reads the exact same… 👀 it may be time for bed! #phd #skystorians #academicsky

My friend Dr. Joanne Liu, former international president of Doctors Without Borders, was cancelled at NYU. The vice-president in education asked to see her powerpoint, prior to her lecture. One slide showed the number of humanitarian workers who died in Gaza. NYU cancelled the event.

As an academia-baby, I’m really starting to think about where I go from here (aka PhD submission & upcoming applications). Am I better to go in the direction of what I want to do or what I’m good at? Looking at the job market, I feel I need to lean into one… #AcademicSky #PhD #ECR #Skystorian

Hey everyone!
My contract is about to end so I would appreciate you all keeping an eye out for roles/funding schemes that may suit me.
I am a "geriatric ECR" too far from PhD viva (5 years) for most postdocs yet unable to get permanence with the job market being the way it is.
