I had no idea you were a fan! Have you read the books?
I hate that they've illustrated this story with a picture of an advanced uterine pregnancy. Too many people already think of ectopic pregnancies in parity with a uterine pregnancy and this photo just reinforces that mental association. Subtle misinformation via imagery.
Look how beautiful this is!
Luxueil minuscule is my absolute favorite bookhand, despite the fact that I cannot read anything except very short words (or parts of words). Thanks for this post-- it has scratched an itch for me!
Oh Carin, I 'm so sorry. I loved him so much-- he reminded me of our Murph. You gave him such a wonderful life. Hugs to you.❤️
Flock of Seig Heils.
Ah! Good stuff-- thanks for the heads up!
I have this on a set of flatware I bought in France in 2006! I never knew where the image came from-- thank you for sharing!
A friend in the neighborhood just sent me a picture from in front of Schumer’s building.
(I’d join them if I didn’t have a soup to attend to right now!!)
They're going to put Marc Bloch in the Pantheon.

"From Flappers to Free Bird: The U.S. in the Weird 20th Century."
(Free Bird was 1973, but still...)
It's been so long since I read anything for fun that when I opened a favorite novel at bedtime last night, my brain couldn't find its pace. But after about 15 minutes, I was immersed in another world, all synapses firing away as they should be. I finished the first chapter of Imagica & slept great.
Imajica is such a great story, sprawling as it is.
Converting my cv to a résumé is showing me that I have SO MANY transferrable skills that I've swept under the rug because academia doesn't value them (or me). So here I am, throwing myself out into the job market well-past my academic "sell by" date, hoping someone values my wealth of experience. 🤞
