Gene and Verse are at a social gathering, surrounded by nobles by the fire. There is gawking at Verse, questions upon questions, side eyes galore. There is a fuss over a former Bozjan soldier standing about so freely amongst the highborn. Gene is speaking over the clamor, reassuring them.

The shot is zoomed in upon the pair, Gene's peers at each side. Gene is holding Verse's chin, fingers gliding along his scarred jaw as Verse is staring blankly at the rest of their ilk, an impassive expression on his face and yet his black eyes hold enough threat despite Gene's words.

The frame is the same as before, though Verse has chosen to take Gene's gloved hand tenderly in his own and kisses the back of it, eyes closed, doting and devoted as Gene looks on in satisfaction at Verse's unfortunate obedience.

My OCs, Kalliope (Xaela Au Ra) and Gene (Ishgardian Elezen) in a dramatic reenactment of the time she cut his hair while shaving him. Gene sits on the floor at her feet, resting his head on her lap while she lifts the length of his hair up to her chest as if she were playing a cello. Instead of a bow, she holds a razor in one hand, threatening to cut his hair, while the fingers on her other hand are positioned on an imaginary chord. Early in their "relationship", Gene cut Kalliope's hair against her wishes and she vowed to return the favor; an act of mercy considering she could have slit his throat at such close range given everything he put her through, but decided to spare him at the last moment.

In a zoomed in shot, Fuse is on Basil's lap, legs spread with Basil's hand between them. They're holding each other tightly, Basil running his tongue along Fuse's neck as his head is tilted back out of frame, only showing his grinning and gasping mouth.

In the same zoomed in shot, the movement shifts in their pleasure. Basil's has moved his hand onto Fuse's chin, finger pressed between his lips and biting the dip of his neck. Fuse's eye is now in the shot, glowing as it stares at the viewer.

N’ami is speaking with her since grandmaster in command, Kaze. Afraid to leave and retire. “Kaze… What if I’m not ready?” “…Hmm? For what?”

She lays it out more bare for him to understand. She isn’t ready to let go of what she’s built. It’s been her whole life and nothing else. “To leave it all behind… I-I built this place… I don’t think I’m ready to leave…” “N’ami…”

She begins to justify her staying in her current role. Being a samurai despite her own health and needs. Kaze looks at her with a confident smile. “There’s still so much to be done, so many people to save… I’m not-“ “N’ami…” he reassures…

N’ami begins to realize that she has a hard time letting go, which brings her to tears… she’s not ready. But her heart is begging her to let go, for her own health. Kaze continues to reassure her. -sniffle- “You’ve done well to lift up the next generation. Let us handle the rest, while you deserve the rest of your life…”

With age, comes the horrid reality that you aren’t as strong as you once were. But you are wiser. 💔

Verse and Argen are seated in the Shirokaze Hostelry in Kugane, sharing a drink in the smoky night's atmosphere. They are surrounded by bottles upon bottles, clearly having been there some time. They are two ex-soldiers exchanging tales of their times in service. Argen is pointing, telling another story of his service days. Verse is laughing heartily at it.

Verse goes to take a sip of his sake as Argen scoffs in disbelief over his own story. He takes a indirect jab at Verse.

Verse pauses in his drink, realizing what Argen has said. Argen is looking over at him quite smug with his shit-eating grin.

The point of view changes to seem as if it is Argen's. He is holding Verse's chin, squishing his cheeks and Verse is staring in annoyance, brows furrowed. He asks tauntingly if the Hound of Bozja will bark for him.
