… OG aggregation often made for an unmissable appreciation of an event. or at least offered realtime context to a broadcast platform from diverse perspectives. of course it often lead to a stampede of attention too and perhaps blew some events out of proportion…

one of the best things about OG microblogging was the practice of live-posting on a hashtag from an event or location.

there are still smatterings of this practice, but since twitter became x, independent portrayals of an event are much rarer. and republishing across platforms is far more common.

absolutely, lecture as solely information transmission is old fashioned. however, much of it will come down to the design of the space. tiered seating is seldom conducive to q-and-a, nor independent, albeit catalysed, group discussion.

even then, a recording that includes discussion, can be useful.

i agree with your other points. however, if you’re in a ‘traditional’ lecture theatre, the q-&-a becomes, ahem, theatre & benefits very few. if you want constructive collaborative learning, then wānanga, seminars or [oxford] tutorials will not only look like rugby practice, it'll feel like it.

Split wholesale / retail grocery and force sale of half of supermarkets to several new entrants. No more half measures.
