#TPSIC2025 What policy would help nonprofit digital resilience?
1. Change how funding works to ensure digital is embedded in grant instruments
2. Regulatory modernization - not keeping pace with technology
3. Look at how we are governed; need to reflect on how rule-making is done.

#TPSIC2025 Think scaleability, says Keith Jansa of Digital Governance Council. Think of how to scale platforms across, to have net benefit back to communities and orgs.
We use common infrastructure, platforms we reply on. To scale, there's a need for digital public infrastructure.

โBanking desertsโ becoming a familiar problem across Canada | Future of Good
As Canadian banks adapt to a digital landscapethe transition to online meant to make banking easier is instead making financial services less accessible.
Banking deserts are becoming more common across Canada as financial institutions shut down branches in rural and remote areas.
These closures hit seniors, small businesses, and Indigenous communities the hardest. โ ๏ธ

Investment in digital resilience needs to be taken as fundamental to quality delivery of all programs and services.
Govt needs to open their minds on these ideas.
Nonprofits need to be at the table for all discussions - AI included.

#TPSIC2025 in Rural Canada, lots of orgs don't have high speed internet; certainly this is a challenge for digital resilience. Provincial Govt's switching to fully digital services within a frame where many communities can't access it. We need to be sure to focus some attention on the basics.

#TPSIC2025 talking challenges to digital resilience for nonprofits:
1. Interaction right now is between public and private but investment not on the table for nonprofits yet
2. Charitable sector is dominated by small charities and nps.; how are they building infrastructures that can support privacy?
