“but he was legitimately elected”
yes he was, and he immediately followed it up by committing a lot of crimes and otherwise attempting to destroy our entire system of government and replace it with autocracy
just because people made a mistake doesn’t mean we can’t fix it

Transphobia is infuriating AND self-defeating. If you're AFAB, you're going to go through menopause...HRT has been a lifesaver for me. It may even stave off dementia!
If HRT is banned for trans folks, think it'll be easy for us cis folk to access it?
A little solidarity just might save YOUR life.

My hot take: we as a society don’t challenge people enough on facts and it’s metastasized.
Political tension in the family? You’ll be told, “Oh, don’t let “politics” get in the way of relationships - avoid it!”
Sorry, no. Politics is personal. Speak up. Do it with humility, but insist on facts.

One might think that undermining trust in the economic reporting of the United States would trigger an impeachment investigation. This is literally bringing the word of the United States into question.

The United States had huge excess mortality during COVID due to income inequality and right-wing anti-science bias
Rewriting history to make it about non-existent vaccine injuries is a desecration of the memory of the dead

Senate committee endorses NIH budget increase, rebuking Trump administration’s proposed 40% cut
Senators from both parties endorsed a $400 million increase to the budget of the National Institutes of Health on Thursday
I’ll take every bit of good news I can get. “Senators from both parties endorsed a $400 million increase to the budget of the National Institutes of Health… in an Appropriations Committee vote that represents a clear rebuke of President Trump’s plan to dramatically reduce the agency’s spending.”

President Trump is stealing our money. One thing I'm looking for in a future candidate - how far will they go to try and get it back from him, his company, his "organization," his family.

NIH is shrinking the number of research projects it funds due to a new Trump policy
NIH plans to shrink the share of grant applications it will award for the remainder of the fiscal year, in some cases by more than half.
Few outcomes from NIH funded research include
-99% FDA approved drugs entering the pipeline
-104 Nobel prize worthy discoveries
-34% reduction in cancer deaths since 1990
Future advances like these will be reduced.
NIH funding is already competitive.

Research to cure cancer, Alzheimer's, and so much more is on the line.
These people are LYING about waste, fraud, and abuse at NIH to justify attacking medical research—we all need to say so.
