Thanks for reading. Yes, Ricky’s story did end with possibly a little more hope than is realistic. The important thing for me is that she has agency. I’ve certainly had a tough time with my arthritis, but the medicines today are much better. Fingers crossed for today’s chronically ill children.

My oldest sister is schizophrenic. She’s often not taking her meds. She left a voicemail earlier and must be having a bad day. So I did what any creative person would - I made art.
