‘Razor Blade Throat’ Symptoms As ‘Nimbus’ COVID-19 Variant Spreads As the NB.1.8.1 variant, informally dubbed "Nimbus," continues to spread, there have been more informal reports of "razor blade throat" as a possible COVID-19 symptom.

The Nimbus strain that was named “razor blade throat” as it was surging in Asia a few weeks ago, now constitutes 37% of tested Covid samples in the US and is posed to become the dominant strain over the summer.
