it’s pretty rough to be trans or gnc right now. it’s easy to see the state of the world and feel bleak and hopeless, and so i wanted to create this one tiny little corner of the world where we’re celebrating ourselves rather than worrying about everything.

i wanted to explore her finding real joy in something that, to me, always felt foreign, something i was forced to perform for the sake of others.

to me, as a transmasc author, tfem vik week is about embracing the connection between trans men and trans women.

as i’ve come to terms with my own gender, i’ve started to write about tfem viktor as a way to explore the ‘other side’. i wanted to explore vik embracing and enjoying her femininity in a genuine way.

and part of that was my inability to ‘get’ trans women. i thought, if you’re lucky enough to be born amab, why would you ever give that up? obviously, in retrospect, big red flag that i was wilfully ignoring because i just kind of assumed everyone felt like a man on the inside.

or whether i should ignore it completely - but i am, to my core, a person who wears their heart on their sleeve, so you’re getting the honest answer.
i took a long long time to come to terms with being transmasc. i’ve spent a lifetime dealing with feelings i never understood,

what inspired you to make a tfem viktor week?

i have to be honest, i’ve thought about this question a lot since i saw it. there is a very long and very personal answer to this question that i immediately talked myself out of giving.
