Happy to have won an award for my work in increasing and recognising racial diversity in the University of Glasgow and the CRUK Scotland Institute. Some people seem to think EDI is bad, I’m glad to work in an institution that knows it’s important.

First short talk at a conference ✅
Second of three talks in September ✅
First time eating lobster ✅

Thank you so much to the organisers of the CSHL Biology of Cancer: Microenvironment & Metastasis for the opportunity to share my PhD work.

I was jet lagged and terrified but I had a great time!

✨Thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to work on our project exploring WNT-driven cell competition as a novel preventative strategy in CRC 🧬

We’re hiring a Senior Scientific Officer to join me in @owen_sansom’s lab. Great science and lots of room to make an impact! 👩🏽‍🔬

Good news: The posters on my office wall increased by one yesterday thanks to the CRC STARS Kick off meeting.

Bad news: My ADHD once again made it incredibly hard to listen and focus for a day of talks and remain social enough to talk about my poster.

Make your way to Alistair McLaren's poster on “Ablation of neutrophil-specific CXCR2 and PD-L1 alters neutrophil phenotype and can reduce disease burden in a murine model of advanced colorectal cancer liver metastases”.

📌 Stop by section 40 to learn more.

What I love about science is how creative it is, especially designing experiments and thinking about the next steps.
