the pacing of this book felt really weird? like the stakes of the first 100 pages felt heightened beyond what they needed to be. and then the ending was predictable though there was a fun twist in there

lol enjoy! they’re kind of chaotically organized at this point, mostly i make a new one every couple months when im sick of what i have been listening to

high key embarrassing that it’s taken me this long to understand how to play sudoku and now i can’t stop

Literally the same plot as the guest list with different dressing. i’m not mad about it but I was able to guess a lot of it now I know her writing. Still had a good time tho!

this was fine I guess? sure did feel like they were having the same argument over and over for 200 pages and then just gave in without much resolution.

I was skeptical of this concept and bc of trc sequel trilogy but actually this book was really lovely, Maggie is back with the subtle magic that made me enjoy her writing so much in the first place.

The Bane Witch by Ava Morgyn, 4/5
advertised as gone girl meets practical magic and it delivers on that. i liked it a lot! dark but compelling and readable

The Verifiers by Jane Pek, 3/5
didn’t love the main character or the mystery of this one. it was overall Fine

amazed and delighted that there’s a 140k conclave fic in this week’s rec center. the devil works hard but ao3 writers truly work harder

The Guest List by Lucy Foley, 4.5/5
at first I felt kind of meh about this but wow the twists and the way it all came together at the end! lucy foley can craft a PLOT.
