I've missed being able to draw so much, having physical disabilities / conditions sucks so much 🫠 I'm hoping things turn around soon... I have so much I need to work on for people

I don't really want to go into it in public but I thought I'd just update everyone. Aside from that, we're at the very final stages of probate, at least. I just need to send one more letter off and that should be it and the house will finally be in my name, so there's that.

I'm alive. My condition (not my arm) has been really bad the past few days and I was almost tempted to call for an ambulance 🫠 it passed, but I'm still a bit concerned. I'm worried I'm running out of time a bit with things. It's made my mental health plummet to new lows.

still doing my physio... this took me two days and i suffered greatly, i try so hard with the painty brushes but it takes way too much effort and doesn't look great 🫠 this was my first time touching art in nearly a month and uuurrrgghhhh the regression is real

Had my followup appointment today with my PT: Pleased to announce my improvements! But now, 8 more weeks on an even tougher exercise band

But yeah, massive thread I know, but I haven't updated in a while. I haven't forgotten anyone, just still working on building my arms up and sorting IRL stuff out with the house.
...this isn't even going into possibly needing a new boiler down the line, either 🫠

I sometimes am not left with anything left I can put into savings. We're going to see what options we have available to us though; I know there's payment plans for stuff but even then, the 'cheapest' we were quoted would see at least £100 a month for ten years to pay off new guttering

the welfare system in the UK is an absolute joke. people think disabled people live like kings but that's a lie. over half of what i get goes on bills, and the remaining half has to support myself, my aunt (pensioner, gets even less than me) and uncle (not pension age yet)

I'm just frustrated... I love my parents dearly, but they were really... ignorant in keeping the house up to date and in denial over how bad some stuff is?? And I'm in no financial position as someone with major long-term health conditions/disability to be able to do anything about it

At this time I'm not going to open any more comm drives because I'm still doing physio and haven't been able to get started on my current queue... I'm aware people are waiting and I think you all for your patience, but I can't take on any more right now.

Things aren't looking good. Because my parents haven't maintained the house properly, it's going to take £6K to fix the guttering which has caused damp / possibly damage in the downstairs hall and the closet and corner in mum's room...

Sadly, we ran out of hummous this morning, as I finished off what was left.

But good news! Aunt is bringing home more of it and in around 30 mins to an hours time I will be stocked on The Good Stuff again.

I'm lucky if it's even a few times a week currently... but I'm sure if I keep at physio and pace myself better, I can build myself up to a better place.

my main issue with art is that if I'm ill or injured and am forced to take extended breaks, the harder it feels to jump back in. Last year was just so incredibly rough on me. I've never had such long gaps between art before then. I could make art at least once a day.

I feel like it's getting a little easier to think up poses and have ideas for art... this is a great sign, because it means I can start attacking my backlog
