Latest cover commission. If you recognize the characters, you're deep into comic book lore! The insides are by the talented team of John Holland, writer, Larry Guidry, artist, and Damian Felitte, colorist. I'll repost when it goes live on Kickstarter sometime next year--!

Newest commission. The character in the peacoat is the patron's own creation. He's traveling in a twisted version of Oz! (The character, not the patron. As far as I know--)

Oops. Just noticed I typed "Wonder Wonder" instead of " Wonder Woman." 🙃

Sometimes I get oddball commissions. I recently drew a fake WONDER WONDER 80 PAGE GIANT. (See comments.) At the bottom was a space filler of "Wonder Girl Trips Over a Dog." She was mostly unseen. I then received a new request to fully draw that scene! Ha ha! You guys keep me on my toes. So to speak.

I'm a big Ramona Fradon fan. She drew some of the comics I cut my teeth on in the 60's. I recently stumbled across a Spider-Man sketch by her, a rarity I believe. Sadly, there's no date on it. She continued to draw well up into her 90's! I humbly inked and colored it for fun--

Yes, that's exactly what I did. I had twice as many as I needed, so I started thinking about what would give it a bit of visual variety.

Here's an actual “80 Page Giant” from the 60's.

This was a fun commission. The person requesting wanted an imaginary “80 Page Giant” of Wonder Woman doing only mundane things. Haha! Honestly, it makes me laugh.

I ran across a Jack Kirby Superman sketch online today. It looked like it would be fun to ink and give it a vintage color treatment. It was!

Even before DC and Marvel mixed their characters with ”Amalgam" comics in the late 90's, I thought Matt Murdock would make a great Batman. As Daredevil, Matt has a Radar Sense, perfect for a bat character. Or, if the two combined (like Amalgam comics) he could be BATDEVIL!

Just finished drawing on a blank cover as a commission. I've never tried using markers and colored pencils before, so I gave it a whirl. It's based on Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21.

Just finished a drawing on a blank Wonder Woman cover, with ink and colored pencils. I'll have it for sale at the Elite Comics SUMMER JAM in Overland Park, Kansas this Saturday.

I recently visited the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum in Kansas City. This Egyptian piece has the wrong hand on each arm! I don’t know if it’s a mistake or if it has meaning behind it. I'd feel more connected to the ancient artist if he merely made a silly mistake.
