Believe me later… but Crowley starts v New Zealand… he’s only started 1 from 2 and gets a rest already, ideally you’d like him or Casey playing here, will have a week off after Leinster…

β€˜We would be foolish if we weren't doing the same’ – Munster open to playing URC clash in the USA Just over three weeks out from Ireland’s return to Chicago to take on New Zealand, Munster CEO Ian Flanagan has opened up on the potential of playing a URC game in America.

Nah it was Flanagan

Open to/keen to play games in the US… it would be β€œfoolish” not to try was the quote

Munster CEO said the same this morning too 🧐

- Are they ready to trust Stockdale/Bolton, would have mean Nash misses out?

Training panelists might be where it gets interesting… would love to see Edogbo there for sure

- Back Row: Pendergast & Timoney ever present, never play, what’s the point?
- How long does a lad who barely plays 10 be considered as our 3rd 10?
- Centre… most interesting position, 2 12’s showing their age, all on centrals, all will be picked I guess, but should they? Who will be #4?

Irish squad next week for the Nov series… might have less surprises than yesterday’s budget, we can all name 30+ correctly… questions for me:
- will they include 3 or 4 TH’s, Jager v O’Toole for that last spot
- will they consider Aherne & Izuchukwu as 2nd rows - presumably, Murray to miss out?
….

Q: how would this differ from various US antitrust cases like LIV, Enhanced Games or World Swimming League? Appreciate they are all novel, huge cases and impossible to explain here, but to a non-legal mind the central premise seems the same. Legacy powers that be boycott upstart, causing a damage

Bit of a wink and blow a kiss for openers, then just ask away, 60% of the time, it works every time.

Would really, really hope E Edogbo can get on the field in the next 2 weeks to put his hand up to be involved πŸ™

ToB is pushing for the NZ game and won’t be playing for the A’s imho

Some speculation that they want Phil Dowson when his contract is up at the end of the season, so if they are eying something like that then I guess it could kinda make sense for a season, would have kept Dimes personally (unless relations broke down)

Ireland play the All Blacks in 4.5 weeks, so presumably we’ll have an Irish squad in 2 weeks for everyone to agree on… season comes at you fast

100% and I hate the β€œit happens at football” etc argument. You can’t drink non-stop at the football and there is a lot more than a teeny tiny rope and 2m separating fans and players, won’t end well if this becomes the norm

Gleeson was the highlight of the weekend for me, lad just needs to get minutes and very good things will happen.

β€œDo you mind if we go on Monday? The rugby season starts at 6”

β€œBut you were watching rugby last weekend, what season was that?”

Love the Brian Gleeson is starting the first game under McMillen, after just 2 starts last year, some time to be made up for. 2 years ago he was head and shoulders ahead of Marko Gazzotti & Chandler Cunningham-South, lads who are now club regulars, internationals & one has a European Cup…

25.09.2025 14:16 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 1

Agree centre is an issue, at least an unknown, how will Henshaw play? Will Ioane have an impact? But for me 2nd row is a big problem, McCarthy injured, RG never gets a break & Ryan’s injury profile all a worry, need a lot from Mangan and real improvement from one of Deeny, Spicer or O’Tighearnaigh

24.09.2025 09:12 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Jordie a huge loss, but on paper I’d say the squad should be better… would expect a lot more from Boyle, G McCarthy, Clarkson, Mangan, Gunne, Prendergast, Tector, Cooney etc Furlong & Larmour like new signings. Huge x-factor is the post-Lions injury curse, could derail the season.

24.09.2025 09:08 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Wasn’t actually taking the piss… now that you have an S&C team, Edogbo & Kleyn fit, Milne, McMillen etc etc I’d be a hell of a lot more optimistic than many a year, but appreciate there have been false dawns
