I noticed you need barcodes for Gordionus violaceus: for a practical exam, I made some students produce them in Germany. They are now available in GenBank: PQ661175-PQ661178.

I am thinking to switch into industry also for stuff like that: academia pretends to be the holy grail of integrity, while stuff like this happens on a regular basis. We found what morphologically would be called "Gordionus violaceus", although the COI data we got shows how polyphiletic Gordionus is. Still, it is the first official report of horsehair worms for the Trier area
