NEW PAPER: A comparative study of the anatomy of Noccaea aucheri (Brassicaceae) species complex by Can et al. The results show that anatomical characters partially distinguish N. sempervivum from other taxa, but do not differentiate between N. aucheri and N. mummenhoffiana.

NEW PAPER: Smilax agasthyamalana (Smilacaceae): a new species from Western Ghats, India by Uthaman et al. The genus Smilax is the sole representative of the family Smilacaceae, which includes 267 species.

NEW PAPER: Begonia himalaica, a new species from the Indian Eastern Himalayas by Borah et al. The new species is only known from the type locality, and hence highly likely to be endemic to the immediate environs around the locality near Chayang Tajo.

NEW PAPER: A new species and a distribution update of Calea (Asteraceae, Neurolaeneae) from Mato Grosso state, Brazil by Melquíades et al. The new species, C. grandibracteata, is one of 61 endemic Calea species in Brazil.

NEW PAPER: Phlogacanthus xanthophyllus, a new species of Phlogacanthus (Acanthaceae) from Yunnan, China by Xi et al. The new species is currently known from three populations growing under the limestone forests and is assessed as ‘Data Deficient' (DD) according to the IUCN.
