My 21 and 18 year old sons hate it too. They get so mad when they see ads and other content created by AI.

I am watching this happen in real time right now in my network of women over 50.

So many people I know are getting laid off in the past 3 months. And I keep getting requests from friends and family to help ppl they know who have gotten laid off. Not a large sample size, but my sense is that things are getting worse in the employment arena. Not great for women over 50 especially.

Community isn't something you build for emergencies—it's what sustains you through ordinary days. The people who witness your process matter more than those who celebrate your finish line.

Support in all seasons means showing up for the mundane, the messy, and the moments that don't make headlines.

I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.

I want to build a .org tech stack and suck the oxygen out of the current tech h industry by designing ecosystems that support healthy communities, including individuals, local journalism, civic participation, and small businesses.

Who is thinking about this that I should connect with?

In my U.S. Civil Rights Movements class, we spend a lot of time thinking about historical memory. When movements get reduced to a few iconic leaders, the collective labor that made change possible disappears from view. It also obscures an important lesson: collective action is effective & difficult.

WARNING: Illinois Is About to Elect a MAGA-Aligned Senator But it's not too late -- here's what we need to do to prevent a catastrophic failure and instead elect someone whose record aligns with our values

IL is on the verge of electing a Senator far more aligned with Trump, MAGA power brokers & ICE infrastructure expansion than the values of a deep-blue state.

Here’s what Raja Krishnamoorthi hopes you don’t know about him & how we elect someone better.
