For the record I fucking adore silksong

The only two opinions on Silksong seem to be "this is indisputably a masterpiece" and "what the hell were they thinking? this is bullshit!"

Please just make a good 3d platformer with a reasonable budget that is fun and well designed and has a beginning and an end and isn't 100 hours long or riddled with microtransactions or content roadmaps or cost 500 billion to make for some reason

But "AAA". From Ubisoft. Saying AAA isn't always a red flag, except when it's ubisoft saying it, and then it's ALWAYS a red flag. What are they gonna be doing with it? What justifies AAA production scope for a mascot platformer?

YEAH I'd like a new Rayman game. I'd love a new 3d one. I've been waiting for Rayman 4 since Murphy said we'd see him in it at the end of the tutorial or Rayman 3, 22 years ago.

We finally implemented the alternative solution for the sliding puzzle in our game. Anybody who struggled with this task should have an easier time finishing it now.

the part I gotta wrap my brain around is that learning the language and completing the duo course are two separate and *increasingly distinct* entities, and one's an actually worthwhile time investment & achievement and the other is gamification to make it just feel like it is

gotta be honest the current feelings are kinda bad! big part of me really wants to finish the course and keep the streak alive, if for nothing else than to prove I could. that was one of my Big Goals for the next year or two so killing it even for good reasons feels miserable. but hey ho. onwards.

doing 658 days of sticking with *anything* I'm not contractually obligated to do is utterly unheard of for me (a week is an achievement, lol) and I haven't skipped a single day since 29th September, which I'm also really pleased with. I think I'm gonna keep going, at least for right now

I am currently trapped in the indecision vortex of wanting to quit duo bc declining quality and continued AI creep but also actually sticking to a daily thing is something my brain actively fights against and not breaking is far more of a personal goal/achievement of mine than the actual language

Time is weird! It feels like it goes faster as you get older, sure, but only within a certain timeframe. Beyond a certain point it still feels like eons ago. 2020 feels like it was yesterday, but 2015 was when I got my Wii U and that feels like CENTURIES ago. Whole different lifetime.

hundred line is pretty good but i think it'd be better if there were 226 more routes and all the characters were talking animals and instead of "the hundred line -last defense academy-" it was called "shadow the hedgehog"

I'm gonna stop doing the media thread thing bc it introduces a weird background feeling of needing to justify everything I do - which is obviously false and entirely in my head, but it is *there*, and I have to battle that broken little instinct every day enough as it is.
