Visitors were landing on one collection (like Plants & Pathogens 2023) and missing the rest. The new page makes it easier to explore all the art collections.
The painting shows an orange branch, with 10 leaves, three twigs and one underripe green orange. The leaves and fruit have chlorotic pale yellow lesions, while the mature lesions on the leaves and lesions on the fruit contain brown necrotic (dead) regions.
In 2023 I painted citrus leprosis on orange, caused by the either citrus leprosis virus nuclear type (CiLV-N), or citrus leprosis virus cytoplasmic type (CiLV-C).

The painting shows a tomato seedling, with a bulbous irregular tumour at the base. The seedling is painted green, whereas the tumour is painted yellow, green and brown in an attempt to depict its irregular structure.
In 2022 I painted tomato crown gall, caused by the bacterium Agrobacterium tumefaciens.

The painting shows a red campion flower cluster with two open pink flowers, two partially open buds and several smaller closed buds and protective leaves. The fungus has coated the anthers with dark brown fungal spores.
In 2023 I painted Microbotryum anther smut, caused by the fungi within the genus Microbotryum (formerly Ustilago).

The painting depicts a single aecidium on a barberry leaf, with chains of pink aecidiospores. Below the aecidium, there is a mass of hyphae amongst the host cells.
In 2025 I illustrated Puccinia graminis aecidium, with aecidiospores, on a barberry leaf.

The painting shows a compound horse chestnut leaf. There are elongated, yellow, pale patches on the leaf, areas of which have begun to turn brown.

The painting features a red double camellia flower with distinctive white mottling, characteristic of the virus. A nearby flower bud shows a similar pattern. Most of the surrounding green leaves display yellow chlorotic mottling, highlighting the foliage symptoms caused by the infection.

The painting shows a sugarcane plant with seven green leaves, and a red blush on the lower stem. From the top of the plant emerges a long, dark brown whip-like structure known as the "smut whip". This whip has emerged from the meristem in place of a spindle leaf.

The painting shows both the adaxial (upper) and abaxial (lower) faces of a peanut leaf placed side-by-side. . Peanut leaves are compound, with four leaflets arranged in two pairs along the stem. Early leaf spot lesions appear as dark brown on the upper surface, surrounded by a yellowish-green halo, and a lighter brown on the lower surface. In contrast, late leaf spot lesions appear as brown on the upper surface and black on the lower surface.
In 2023 I illustrated two related diseases: early leaf spot of peanut, caused by the fungus Cercospora arachidicola and late lead spot of peanut, caused by the fungus Cercospora personata (synonym Phaeoisariopsis personata).
