Actually looks like their spools now I look, theyโve always made filament for other people IIRC

21.12.2024 18:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thought Iโd give some Tri-Colour PLA off Amazon a try as my daughter wanted a little waste paper bin for her room, couple of twists putting lines in but nice effect

18.12.2024 21:45 โ ๐ 30 ๐ 5 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0literally the only thing missing for me so far in Plasticity seems to be thread generation, so I might still have to keep Fusion in my workflow for that alone. Although I am tempted to just make myself a library of standard threads exported to stp that I can use to further reduce my reliance on it
16.12.2024 06:24 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 3 ๐ 0360 is ok but I just canโt get on with it, I donโt need the parametric design features and as Iโm only a hoodies I just activate the free plan. But Plasticity seems to be worth investing in, much more what Iโm looking for
15.12.2024 16:13 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I have still used 123D up until now as it does 95% of what I need and I can work much quicker in it. But the increasing instability and the lack of performance on more complex models has pushed me over the edge
15.12.2024 16:02 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0My insistence on sticking with an old unsupported CAD package with flaky step export for yrs means I had to go from 123D to Fusion, then export as step, so I can play in Plasticity with my old models. Bit of a long term project here inspired by our visit to SMRRF
15.12.2024 07:40 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Not gonna lie, I fell in and out of sleep during the @joeltelling.bsky.social charity live stream (lateness of the hour, deffo not a reflection on Joel!), had some weird stream audio induced dreams though ๐คฃ

04.12.2024 18:59 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Grrr, I loved my Evoque โฆ.. right up until the point the steering rack collapsed a couple months out of warranty ๐ก
04.12.2024 13:24 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Insides are usually miles of real world thankfully ๐
JLR have a decent track record of concept to real world ever since the Evoque
The move away from all printed parts shouldโve helped but their way of manufacturing is never gonna scale fast and the price point just adds to that, shame really.
04.12.2024 12:50 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think they more and more do get concepts to be very close to release look and feel, especially in the price segment theyโre aiming this at. IMHO the side profile is great looking, I donโt like the front (most likely to be changed for production anyway) and the back is ok
04.12.2024 12:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I did think it was the dawn of a new era when it first landed but the price has crept up and itโs ended up looking like a half hearted attempt at entry level and overtaken by cheaper machines that perform great
