I think its more specific. Look at the applicable context: Getting someone a gift... You're welcome. No problem does not hold up here. I think its limited in scope.

That's the other reply I get a lot. "No worries". To which I've replied many times: "I'm not worried. Why?" or "I wasn't". It catches them off guard and its quite fun.

You're Welcome... Why don't we hear that anymore? When you say "Thank You" to someone next, listen to what they say. Most likely you'll hear "no problem". Why not, "You're welcome"? Their reply insinuates there was a problem, or you were burdening them. Curious to hear what you think...
