Interesting, but the data seem only to show that spending on elderly goes up as the number of elderly goes up, which is surely quite obvious?
The problem of needing to increase investment means finding funds across the board. Time to tax pensions, earnings and capital gains all the same.
Not sure the UK is doing it for ethical reasons. Just lining up with the same stance from Saudi and Qatar. We don't want Iran retaliating against UK bases in the Middle East.
