I feel like this would change if other teams did it but it reminds me of like the wing t high school football where its just so different than other teams that its a shock to the other team to have to play that way?
like they're creating their luck with action on the bases creating more holes for infield singles, they're also creating more players on base simply by being fast and forcing quicker throws to even have a chance of getting guys out. You see so many bad throws to first in their game forced by speed.
@badgernoonan.bsky.social great podcast today...is there any way to quantify the value of the pressure the brewers create on teams with their speed and base running? It certainly seems like because they're on base more it hurts pitchers mentally more, especially bullpen arms.
