Lancer when HORUS enters the battlefield

Calling out increasingly baroque and intimidating names for my attacks, like the Litany of Agony or Mournful Dance Among the Dead, but every time I just shoot the enemy with my gun

This made me want to write about a unit with a commander desperately trying to run a clean ship with everything above board, nothing gross or evil, but everyone they get assigned are weird freaks that just can't be normal about their assignment.

Then it dawned on me that's just Patlabor.

so basically it's actually pretty fucking awesome to be a nasty roll around in the dirt needs and desires human being whose primary goal is to bring as much joy and comfort to as many other human beings as possible with zero pretense of what may or may not come after. just lighten the fuck up!!!

just had a really brilliant (dumb) idea for a Lancer character. legal clerk who joined up with MSMC as her first big job, saw all the mech pilots and said "gosh, that looks fun! i wanna try that out!" and changes careers to mercenary pilot.
