I ALSO understand the state of the heroes in rivals is on purpose, but the auto lock and cheese characters outweighing the ones that take some sort of thinking or mild amount of skill will make it lose legitimacy (or make it the new league)

ow2 won’t be killed, probably. I’ve enjoyed the new player pool of the people who never took the ow2 grind seriously leaving it in the dust. if ow2 is serious about the 6v6 revival, rivals is over.

im in the middle. it is vastly more fun than ow2 right now, and it is much quicker in pace. the hero balance and role lock need a nudge, though. competitively, its a mess. the grind is not sustainable for beyond one season (that style just sucks)

this is lowkey sad but unfortunately riot makes bangers and that was the gym rotation this year 💪

MOOD I am BEYOND HYPE for Rivals. dev team and game design are so on point. ow would’ve persevered if it kept its heart, but if they don’t do something drastic soon it’s toast.

VERYY true. hope the 6v6 rollback after the classic event shows the devs what they need to do. OW2 misses its core values in its current gameplay, it needs a rework. what’s out rn is not sustainable. old sombra, cassidy, and double tank are just a few examples. hurts to experience what we lost 😖

while competitively it’s in a strange place, overall feels insanely comfortable to play. mmr mostly correct, balances good enough rn, playerbase has chilled out a ton. needs an overhaul lowkey but at face value it’s great at the moment 💪
