WW 7-31-25 SFGH Heatlhcare Workers Speak Out Against Genocide & SF Mayor Lurie's Kezar Privatization WorkWeek hears from San Francisco city doctors and healthcare workers who rallied in front of San Francisco general hospital on July 24. The doctors and other healthcare workers are angry about the ongoing genocide and starvation policies of the Israeli Zionist government backed with billions of dollars from the United States. They spoke out and demanded that the murders and holocaust stop for the people of the Gaza and the West Bank. They also connected the attack on the people of Palestine with the attacks on public healthcare and workers in the United States. We also hear about the new mayor Daniel Lurie'd is pushing to privatize more and more of San Francisco. Included in this privatization is the transfer of publicly owned Kezar stadium in the Haight Ashbury to a crony of Mayor Lurie Geoff Oltmans who contributed more than $800,000 to his non-profit. At a panel as part of LaborFest.net, Haight Ashbury Community activist and board of the Haight Ashbury Neighborhood Council Calvin Welch provided the background of how this privatization of Kezar took place and the role of the City bureaucracy in pushing these transfers. He also talked about the systemic corruption of the San Francisco Parks Alliance and how the privatizers politicians and capitalists used this organization to push their agenda in Golden Gate Park ripping off the community contributors. Rec and Park director Phil Ginzberg was directly involved in covering up the corruption despite the fact that he knew about the criminal malfeasance for a long period of time.
