It is a very bright moment for digital monochrome photography. Ricoh’s long-awaited release of the GR with a monochrome sensor makes true black-and-white capture more accessible, allowing more people to experience the difference of genuine, in-camera B&W images.

AgBr.app v1.1 is now live!
This first content update brings a new film emulation: Aiko Lightpan SS 100, an obscure 90's Japanese film meticulously researched by @nuevotokyo.bsky.social
We also improved our grain rendering in this update - expired film stocks particularly benefit from it.
This week it's all about community. So many folks have helped me. Thanks to @insideframelines.bsky.social @passportandpixels.bsky.social and @nuevotokyo.bsky.social + @heliographe.bsky.social for making words and pictures that make me feel more creative every day.

AgBr.app B&W Film Emulator [ iPhone + iPad + Mac ]
The most exciting feature of the Fujifilm Half could be its "film" advance crank, possibly cocking the shutter like the old Epson R-D1 (though it may use a leaf shutter). Even if it's just a gimmick, like the Leica M10-D, it’s thrilling to see this feature return to a digital camera.

Behind the Scenes: Analysing Film with AgBr
—
Analysing the film is one of the most enjoyable parts. This is what our technical shot setup looks like. The image on the phone allows us to keep track of the shot count and film type, making it easier to index the negatives when scanning the film
Thank you! More is coming every month. while we will keep it as simple and clean as it is now!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Amigo, never say never, but not for now!
