Part of me wants to catch up and get started on my fantasy pick — “Son of a Witch” — but I think I should re-read “1984” (and “Animal Farm”) while “Julia” is still fresh. If nothing else, April (poetry) should help me get back on track.

I’m not particularly religious. But there’s a quote commonly attributed to the founder of the Methodist Church, John Wesley, that really sticks with me whenever I hear it — especially lately.
There’s no magic lever she — or Hillary Clinton — can pull to undo any of this.
The only such lever was in the voting booth. And not enough of us pulled it. And now we have to live with the consequences.
