Disappointed because I wanted to share some art but BlueSky won't let me upload anything larger than 976kb and resizes things I compress to be smaller than that.

So, I guess no art.

How very frustrating. I hope this is a bug that will be fixed!

Do you have any notable plans for the weekend?

I need to work on an oil painting in progress for a class I'm taking and want to get some hanging fuchsia baskets for my patio.

This was a challenge since my work is pretty or whimsical. But I got interesting results from dimensional & surreal piece blends.

The last one just made me laugh. He looks so unhappy with his flowers & curly locks!

I had the same thought when I saw this earlier!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a social media site that was focused on sharing art and connecting artists and collectors?

At least the picture on the right is of cubicles which gave some visual privacy: removed by the horrid "open office plans" like 15 years ago.
Now with forced return to the office, they demand people rotate (reserve for the day) desks & you rub elbows with your coworkers trying to type.
Dehumanizing!

I hope you are right. Twitter is such a difficult place for artists and collectors to connect. The algo makes it all a popularity contest and difficult to get your work seen outside your "bubble" (which for many artists is just other artists). I hope that there's a better way here.

Weird, the image attachments seem to be cropping things in odd ways. Hopefully that is a bug that will be fixed.

Twitter is broken in so many ways. But all the communities I want to be a part of are still on Twitter and everyone is used to how Twitter works.
BlueSky is has potential for the place that my communities can migrate to.
And the idea of having servers for common interests is also pretty attractive.
